Consider volunteering at Westfield Farmers Market! 28 dedicated volunteers kept WFM running in 2023, and we’re looking for more volunteers to help us grow in 2024.
Market Set Up and Take Down Team
Do you enjoy working outdoors? Can you comfortably lift 25 pounds? Join our Set Up and Take Down teams! Setting up and taking down the Market each Thursday includes setting up and removing signs, moving equipment, tables and chairs, setting up and taking down tents, and removing trash and recycling bins.
Market Host
Volunteering as a Market Host is a great way to meet the community! Market Hosts welcome customers and vendors to the Market, explain WFM rules, answer questions, hand out stickers to our younger customers, cover breaks for vendors, and conduct dot surveys every few months.They may also assist with market outreach and market promotion.
SNAP Volunteer
Are you passionate about supporting local farmers, growers, and producers while helping to support community nutrition access? We have an opportunity for you! We’re looking for responsible individuals to process SNAP/EBT, HIP, and credit card transactions at the market and help ensure a successful SNAP Match program. You should be comfortable explaining programs to customers (we’ll train you), handling cash and market currencies (tokens and scrip), and processing transactions.
Other Volunteer Needs for the 2024 Season
- Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian interpretation and translation.
- Grant research and writing.
- Market Photographer.
