WFM Market News - August 14, 2025
We begin the second half of the 2025 season with wonderful news! Beginning September 1st, 2025, HIP will be back to $40/60/80 benefit levels depending on household size! The Governor signed the supplemental budget into law last week, and we are grateful for DTA’s swift action on HIP- thank you Gov. Healey!
Please help support the Market by purchasing reusable grocery bags at Stop & Shop on Main St- for every bag sold in the month of August, WFM receives $1. Using those bags at the Market will then help reduce the amount of single-use plastics in our community.
See you Thursday!

Bucket List Maple Syrup
We began making maple syrup with our children. We started sugaring with a flat pan on cinder blocks. From that primative beginning, we eventually built a sugar house and installed an evaperator. At first we collected sap in metal buckets and 5 gallon plastic pails. We still use these, but now most of our sap flows downhill in a pipeline into tanks. We are members of the Mass Maple Producers Association.
