WFM Market News - October 29, 2025
Hi Market Friends,
Preparations are well under way as we gear up for our first annual Harvest Market on Saturday, November 15th, from 11-3 at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement. Vendor spots are filling up fast, so if you have handmade craft or artisanal items you would like to sell, please send an email to the Market, with a description of your items, and up to three photos of your work no later than November 5th. ALL potential food vendors must obtain a permit from the Westfield Health Department.
Potential food vendors should email crystal.dugay@ cityofwestfield.org for specifics.
SNAP INFORMATION! As many of you know, the federal funding for November SNAP benefits is frozen, affecting over one million Massachusetts residents. If you are a SNAP customer, any funds currently on your card will remain available, even if the shutdown continues. Keep a balance of at least $1 on your SNAP card and you’ll still be able to use your full $40/$60/$80 November HIP benefit for use on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market. HIP is a state-funded program and is not affected by the funding freeze. WFM will also provide a $15 SNAP Market Match, even if you do not have the full balance available on your card. Just present your EBT card at the SNAP table.
If you are interested in contributing to our SNAP Market Match funds, we would welcome your donations at this link. All donations noted as “SNAP match” by the donor go directly to boosting the spending power of our customers who utilize SNAP at our markets.
Folks, if you’re looking to help out, please donate non-perishable food items or leave a monetary donation for the Westfield Food Pantry at the SNAP table during the Harvest Market. All donations will go directly to the Westfield Food Pantry to support their work of feeding our friends and neighbors. We thank you for your generosity and we can’t wait to see you at the Harvest Market!
We thank the generous sponsors of our 2025 season
